Rosecote
Broadhempston

This was a highly detailed brief to extensively renovate a very old building throughout. Floors were raised to create a nine foot high kitchen ceiling, reclaimed beams and organically crafted renders all complimented the original feel of the house. Gothic window openings were created, mezzanine sleeping decks from reclaimed timber and old wooden scaffolding ladders were introduced upstairs. The main kitchen had aged elm flooring, a hand built kitchen from reclaimed timber and a speaking tube from a WW1 American Battleship to allow communication via a copper downpipe to a brass hunting horn on the landing upstairs. Exposed copper pipes, a teak sink and reclaimed brick flooring laid on lime mortar continued the creative feel to the adjacent rooms.
